Trinidad - Skiffle Bunch represents one of the upper echelon music organizations from Trinidad and Tobago.  In June of 2003 Skiffle Bunch Steel Orchestra came to New York and performed at the South Street Seaport as part of the Caribbean Tourism Organization's (CTO) Caribbean Week.  Skiffle Bunch captivated the crowd with their performance (and their own obvious enjoyment!) throughout the evening, solely in the spotlight themselves at first, then with noteworthy highpoints when additional artistes joined them - beginning with violinist Anselm Walters, for a 'Titanic' collaboration of 'My Heart Will Go On'.  They kept 3 Canal company again later as the crowd kept up with the latter's energetic renditions which included 'Blue' and 'Ben Lion'.  Black Stalin also performed many of his classics, with full Skiffle Bunch accompaniment and back up from 3 Canal. Again the When Steel Talks crew was there and captured moment.

  Happy Birthday to Edwin Ayoung  March 19th When Steel Talks extends Birthday Greetings to composer and performing artist “Crazy” - Edwin Ayoung  Edwin Ayoung or “Crazy” - born Edwin Ayoung in 1944, on Maraval Road in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad of a Venezuelan mother and Trinidadian father of Chinese descent, was - in his youth - as skilled and competitive in his country’s national pastime of cricket, as he has been now for years as a world-travelled musician, performing artist and composer. Though dubbed “The Loveable Lunatic of Soca,” Ayoung has time and again not been given his due in his native land, yet remains one of the most commercially successful artists on the international soca scene.
