Alston Jack aka “Lil Jack” - Composer, Arranger, Panist, Performing and Recording Artist. Jack’s pan compositions have been featured on the soundtracks of Fatal Attraction, Working Girl and NBC’s daytime soap opera Another World. He has also appeared on the Cosby Show and Another World. He has arranged for bands in New York such as Harlem All Stars, Moods Pan Groove, Metro, Women in Steel, Tropicans and Pantonic. - passed on April 17, 2021 - Born - May 22, 1950

An experimentalist, he pioneered the unique musical genre known as Parang Soca and played a leading role in promoting Chutney Soca.   Vanessa Alexandra Headley-Brewster Happy Birthday to Vanessa Alexandra Headley-Brewster January 7th Vanessa is the CEO of the prestigious Golden Hands Steel Orchestra and has represented Trinidad and Tobago, not only in Antigua & Barbuda, but also in Dominica, Martinique, and the USA at Howard University and the University of Delaware. She has conducted steelpan workshops in her native Trinidad and Tobago as well as at the Delaware School of the Performing Arts and the McCollum High School, in Austin, Texas. In 2008 Ms. Headley was the star soloist at one of the main showcase concerts of the Percussive Arts International Convention (PASIC) - also in Austin, Texas. Singing 'for fun' is a philosophy that Janine Charles-Farray has stuck to religiously for the last 20 years of her life. A long time lover of the 'soulful classics,' Janine Charles-Farray began singing in Primary school under the baton of Mrs. Charles of the St. Finbar's Girls RC School.
